Der Spiegel, one of Germany’s premier magazines, claims that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) warned about a possible attack on the Nord Stream gas pipelines from Russia just days before it happened.
Citing unnamed sources, Der Spiegel says the CIA tipped off Berlin about a potential sabotage incident that would bring both Nord Stream 1 (NS1) and Nord Stream 2 (NS2) offline. (Related: It appears as though the Nord Stream pipelines might never turn back on.)
“CIA warned Germany weeks ago of coming attack on natural gas pipelines Nord Stream I & II (from Russia to Germany),” tweeted American author and co-founder of the Breakthrough Institute, Michael Shellenberger.
“Russia could have pulled off such an attack but ‘It is difficult to see whether Russia or Ukraine could have an interest in such an incident,'” he added, citing the Der Spiegel report.
The article goes on to speculate that from Ukraine’s point of view, a “permanent interruption” of gas from Russia to Germany could be “a possible interest in the room.”
“On the contrary,” the article adds, “there would be immense political disadvantages that could arise from an attack.”
An investigation is underway into the incident, which another source familiar with what has already been uncovered says points to sabotage.
“We cannot imagine a scenario that does not include a targeted attack,” this person added, as quoted by REMIX.
NS2, which was completed last fall but never approved and turned on, was damaged alongside NS1, which remains offline “indefinitely” due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Having these two important pipelines offline potentially for good means that no more Russian energy is flowing into Germany. There are very few Russia-Europe pipelines left that are still operational, we now know.
Mette Frederiksen, Denmark’s prime minister, told reporters that the damage caused to NS1 and NS2 “are deliberate actions, not an accident.”
“There is no information yet to indicate who may be behind this action,” she further said, adding that authorities do not see the threat as being against Denmark specifically.
The Biden regime, meanwhile, is staying tight-lipped about the matter. When asked, CNN‘s White House and national security reporter Natasha Bertrand said Biden and his crew are “not going to speculate on the cause” of it.
“The U.S. stands ready to support European partners’ efforts as they investigate,” she added.
Kylie Atwood, another CNN national security reporter, added in a tweet that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced it is “in no one’s interest” to know whether the pipeline damage was the result of an attack or sabotage.
Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, as you may recall, warned back in January that if Russia invades Ukraine, “one way or another, Nord Stream 2 will not move forward” – watch below:

So who is really responsible for this? The usual suspects in America’s deep state government apparatus are once again front and center as the most likely suspects.
“Food processing plants, refineries … seems like there is a good deal of this going around,” wrote a commenter about how key components of the global economy are conveniently breaking down or being destroyed one after another – almost like a perfect storm.
“They’re really doing it,” added another. “The USA is really setting up WW3 probably to obfuscate the impending collapse of the petrodollar.”
As the world implodes into a wasteland of chaos and destruction, we will keep you informed about it at Collapse.news.
